Acquiring Academic Course Credits

As you progress through your program Years 1 to 5, you will meet regularly with your field centre coordinator for program guidance and course advising. Where necessary, transfer of course credits completed at other post-secondary institutes for your Bachelor of Education degree will be arranged through your coordinator, as well. Letters of Permission are written on your behalf for every course that will be transferred, and upon course completion, you will send UBC’s Teacher Education Office an official transcript from the institute where you took the course.

Your coordinator assists you in tracking the accumulation of course credits when working towards either the Bachelor of Education in elementary or secondary teaching. See your coordinator for advising before registering for particular courses to ensure that they will count toward your degree.
